In March we be will honoring Women’s History Month by focusing our Saturday Discussion and Meditation classes on Women in the Bible. As you may know, we look at the Bible as a metaphysical timeline of our own path of spiritual unfoldment, not only as a people, but as individuals. Regardless of whether or not one believes the historical accuracy of biblical lore, every person, place and situation represents aspects of our own Consciousness, and teaches us lessons about how we interact with the world around us. For three weeks in March, we will explore feminine energies in the Bible.
During this series of classes, we will will be joined by our friend Guanda Harvey, who inspired this idea, and who will be helping us facilitate this thought-provoking discussion.
On the fourth week, we will have a discussion about Randy Doster’s book Mother-Father God: Understanding the Masculine and Feminine Energy That Is God. This is a fascinating look at the nurturing, encouraging aspects of Creation that have often been overshadowed by a perception of a personified male deity we know as God. We know that God is not a person at all, but the creative life force that pervades everything.
We are excited about this opportunity. We hope you are, too! Here is a summary of the four classes. We have provided the scripture references, in case you would like to pre-read the stories that feature these women:
