We are pleased to announce that Revs. Robert S. Jackson and Pamela Marks of the Washington (DC) Metaphysical Church will be visiting The Meditation Center on Sunday, July 10 at 10:00 am. They have agreed to facilitate a special edition of our weekly Meditation and Discussion class, which is normally held on Saturdays. These special people are ministers, and together with their team of student volunteers, guide their congregants in the Washington, DC area on their path of spiritual unfoldment.
Our Saturday Meditation and Discussion class originated with Rev. Jackson, who facilitated the program for several years in a community center in Arlington, Virginia, and later, at his church’s Metaphysical Learning Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. We brought the concept of both the class and the education center with us from Maryland, and instituted it here at The Meditation Center earlier this year. The class comprises of about an hour of lecture and discussion on a specific topic, followed by a powerful meditation to contemplate on that day’s lesson.

This is an opportunity for our guest to experience the dynamic spiritual insight that Revs. Jackson and Marks share with their congregation on a weekly basis. Rev. Marks also leads a weekly healing meditation and class on Tuesday nights in Maryland, synchronized with those of The Meditation Center and other locations affiliated with our parent organization. Together we build and concentrate our healing thoughts wherever they are needed.
We invite you to join us on Sunday, July 10 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Because of this event, we will not hold the class on the normally scheduled date, July 9.
That evening at 7:00 pm, Chris Carver will be facilitating the second in his series of Chakra Meditation classes, which is held on the second Sunday of each month: Carnelian Orange – the Sacral Chakra. This class continues our journey upwards from our root chakra to the sacral chakra. Here we dicuss owning our desires – not only owning them, but owning them guilt-free. We leave the stationary position of the root and learn how to move grounded and centered with the sacral.
We look forward to seeing you at both of these special classes!
