Greening Up the Mountains Apr. 23

Join us at the 19th annual Greening Up the Mountains Festival, which will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 in historic downtown Sylva.

The celebration will include fine arts and handmade craft demonstrations, a 5K run, two music stages which will feature Bluegrass, Country and Mountain entertainers, along with a children’s talent show. There will be more kids’ activities, food, and fun for everyone!

A project of the Town of Sylva, this is the year’s largest annual event, and brings 10-12,000 residents, visitors, and families to our beautiful downtown. Strengthened by its early roots as an Earth Day celebration, the festival includes a focus on environmental protection, sustainability, and promotion of local businesses and civic groups.

Stop by our booth!

The Meditation Center will have a booth at the event. Stop on by for a mini-meditation, and take home a colorful “Find Your Peace” bracelet. We also plan to hold a drawing for a special gift! See you there!

Our booth will be located on W. Main St, three booths down from the intersection of Schulman St. We’ll be in front of the law offices of Cowan, Hicks and Siler (near Wells Fargo Bank). Click on the image below for a full size rendering:
