It is a transformational process for moving through areas of your life where you may feel stuck and opening into greater clarity and empowerment! Or you may just want to experience a bit of bliss, the possibilities vary greatly, but you will experience what you need at this time in you life. A safe container is held by certified professionals who are trained to guide participants through the process.  Process: Welcoming Circle with explanation of the details, breathwork set, short art process to ground the experience.   Bring: Favorite blankets and pillows, water bottle with closeable lid, any simple art supplies you want (not necessary, some will be provided)

Ayurveda: Food is Medicine

Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 2:00 pm
facilitated by Ginna Bourisseau
$10 Donation

In an effort to understand disease in the human physiology modern medicine may have left out what Ayurveda, literally Science of Life and oldest known system of healing, observed to be fundamental. Ayurveda considers food to be a critical method of keeping the body healthy. Food should be the first stage of treatment to keep and renew balance to the body.

When the body has lost the ability to operate in natural accord, Ayurveda  gives knowledge from 6,000 years of practice of how to bring the systems of the body into equilibrium and restore stability to the body, mind, and spirit.

Discover basic rules of preparing food and what foods are known to clog the channels of the body resulting in inflammation, which can then ripen into disease. Learn daily practices to maintain health and vitality.

Please note that this workshop is provided for educational purposes. The facilitators presenting classes and workshops at The Meditation Center are not medical doctors, and cannot diagnose, prescribe or treat specific health conditions. If you have concerns about a health issue, please consult with an appropriate medical professional.
