The Meditation Center’s slogan is “Find Your Peace,” which not only involves spiritual unfoldment, but also depends on the health of mind and body. Healing has always been a part of our focus at The Meditation Center. In addition to our weekly Healing Meditations, and spiritual healing sessions before our monthly lectures, we like to offer occasional workshops designed to help you discover new ways to focus on your health and well-being. We are pleased to welcome Ginna Bourisseau, who will be offering a workshop on healthier eating and meal preparation based on ancient principles of Ayurveda.

In an effort to understand disease in the human physiology modern medicine may have left out what Ayurveda, literally Science of Life and oldest known system of healing , observed to be fundamental.  Ayurveda considers food to be a critical method of keeping the body healthy.  Food should be the first stage of treatment to keep and renew balance to the body.

Discover basic rules of preparing food and what foods are known to clog the channels of the body resulting in inflammation, which can then ripen into disease. Learn daily practices to maintain health and vitality.

When the body has lost the ability to operate in natural accord,  Ayurveda  gives knowledge from 6,000 years of practice of how to bring the systems of the body into equilibrium and restore stability to the body, mind, and spirit.
